Rainy days are for picnics under the dining room table, cubby houses, playdough and pasting.
Sometimes snuggling on the lounge and watching a dvd.

My little one is my cousin. We play hand-signal games like 'I love you' and 'Eye see you'... We giggle all day!

Lots of things to do on rainy days but the best one is getting the craft box out. Not the best for cleaning up afterwards, but heh, the kids have fun!!

My 2 year old loves sticker books at the moment so I always keep a stash in the cupboard for rainy days. I try to find ones were he needs to match the sticker somewhere in the book which has really helped his hand eye coordination and colour and shape recognition. We also love to read - of course!

My Little Princess is only 9 months old but has just starting to master the skill of climbing! So when we are stuck inside on a rainy day and I can pull her away from climbing up the couch, chairs, my legs, the tv cabinet, we love to read. Without fail I can always get her to sit for a few moments thanks to "Where is the Green Sheep?".

Our rainy day activity is to make and play with glittery play dough or hut making in the living room and then puddle splashing when the rain has stopped :)

Rainy day activities in our house consist of playing 'indoor cubbies' by draping all the spare blankets over the kitchen chairs and putting all the pillows on the floor underneath them. Then, inevitably, one of the girls wants to bring in the toy stove and we start 'cooking'.

We go outside and play in the rain! It is so much fun splashing in puddles and squishing in mud, then you can come inside and have a lovely warm shower and snuggle.

Oh we so love wooden toys and my little girl has just started with dramatic play, including lots of cooking! Rainy, cold days we will play with them inside and warm days take it outside too.

Our other favourite at the moment is jumping in puddles as we have just learnt to get airborne!

My little man is learning his alphabet so we pick a letter, then hunt through magazines cutting out that particular letter. Keeps him entertained for much longer than you'd think!

My 18mth son is CRAZY about the wiggles at the moment and looks for any excuse to watch their dvds. On rainy days we both dance around the house to the wiggles concert.

I love to read or tell stories in bed while we try to stay cozy & all snuggled up under the covers keeping warm & listening to the rain. I try to explain to my daughter that rain is good, and we love it, and a little abou the garden &/or the drought to tie it all in.
